Today (4 Oct 2014) progress on the flooding at the Elephant Foundation in Mae Taeng District, Chiang Mai Province. The latest update is that up until now, rescue workers have not been able to reach the Elephant Foundation to help move the animals, including elephants, dogs, cats, and rabbits, due to the high water level and fast-flowing currents in many places, especially the "Mae Taeng - Mae Taman" road, which is currently flooded. It has been reported that the only route that can still be used for travel is Pang Mai Daeng Ban Chang.
